The store is open now & most of the

several of the years. I hope to have the rest of the roses posted by this

Anniversaries are sometimes taken for granted, especially by people who have
been together for a while. However, an anniversary comes just once a year
and it surely wouldn't hurt if you express your happiness over still being
strong and stable through a simple token of appreciation. The gift need
not be expensive. And to help you get through the thinking process, this
entire website is a guide to the themes each consummated year represents in a
relationship.
With life so hectic and moving at what seems
to be the speed of light an anniversary can be a great time for putting
the rest of the world on hold for a day or even a weekend and reflecting
on your relationship together. Or if parties and gatherings are more your
style you could host an anniversary dinner in which you could invite
family and friends.
Parties and time alone are not always practical, but serving your spouse
breakfast in bed is a task that is feasible with even the most hectic of
schedules, sometimes a seemingly small gesture can be appreciated more
than expensive gifts.

What are some traditional
gifts for a 39th wedding anniversary?
|
| Hi Dianne
The "Traditional" and "Modern"
gift guides list only the years that are considered
milestones, which are the 1st through the 15th then every five
years ie; 20th, 25th and so on. So anything that the the
recipient would find thoughtful could be a nice gift. Also
check the "Romantic Gifts" page.

I need help choosing a 35th
anniversary gift for my parents. Nothing too expensive but
not cheap either. Any suggestions?
|
| Hi Lori
The 35th is "coral" and since
your shopping for a couple and not a spouse you will need to
make sure the gift is appropriate for both people such as a
gift for the house or garden, a few ideas are
Coral vases
Coral planters
Coral figurines
Coral chess set
Probably one of the best
places to find a coral gift for a couple would be Kahn Imports
you can find them at http://www.khanimports.com

What should
I get for my husband for our 10th anniversary
that’s not expensive?
|
| Hi Monique
The 10th anniversary traditional
gift is aluminum. Fortunately for you aluminum is not
expensive, here a few ideas that won't blow your budget.
Aluminum gardening tools
(will not rust)
Tie tack and cuff links made
of aluminum
Aluminum golf tees
An aluminum pail or bucket
filled with his favorite treats and beverages
Aluminum picture frames

My wife and I will be
celebrating our 16th anniversary next month and I wanted to
follow the traditional gift list as I have done the last
fifteen years, but I find nobody has listed the 16th
anniversary, instead they jump from the 15th to the 20th. Why
is this ? And do you have any suggestions?
|
| Hi Terry
Congratulations on your upcoming
16th anniversary! The "Traditional" and "Modern" guides list
only the years that are considered milestones, which are the
1st through the 15th then every five years ie; 20th, 25th and
so on. Anyone who can stay together more than fifteen years
though should not consider the 16th through 19th or any of the
off years any less important just because they are not
"milestones", but should be cause for celebration having
toughed out the ups and downs that come with any long term
relationship.
As far as gift suggestions
for a 16th Anniversary there is the Traditional Anniversary
List for gemstones which list Peridot and Red Spinel as the
gemstones for the 16th Anniversary.
The traditional color is
silver for the 16th Anniversary. You could get 16 silver
flowers or roses arranged by a local florist, one for each
year.
Real roses dipped in silver
or platinum would last forever and are always a hit for any
year.
On the cheaper side, but no
less appreciated would be a collage of your 16 years together.
Just get a piece of poster board then in the center put a
picture from your wedding, an invitation if you have one and
any newspaper clipping of the wedding announcement, then start
adding pictures or mementos from each of your 16 years around
the center items until you fill the poster and have depicted
your life together. Top it off with a poem or short love
letter and you have a memorable anniversary gift.

Dear Gift Guy
My husband and I
will have been married five years this May and i would like to
continue following the traditional gift list, but after last
years linen-silk fiasco i am panic stricken trying to think of
a gift of wood that he will love and appreciate. He is a
construction worker who loves the outdoors, wood picture
frames would never be used and and i am afraid a wood valet
would be used to hold nuts and bolts. Please help...
|
| Hi Susan
Given the description of your
husband I would say that finding a gift of wood that he will
love and appreciate should be quite easy.
Is he a sports fan? If so an
autographed baseball bat from his favorite team or player
would be a great gift. You can order these from most sports
memorabilia shops.
You stated that a wood valet
would be used for nuts and bolts, sounds like a man in need of
a nice wooden tool chest.
He loves the outdoors, how
about wood carvings of fish or animals.
Wooden plaques that state
"The Worlds Greatest ......."
